Positions politically from the "other side" that you are most sympathetic to

From taxpayers then, including corporations.

Silly question. Why wouldn’t that relationship be of more benefit to shareholders who are only interested in earnings on their ā€œinvestments?ā€ More profits equals higher dividends. They’ve been gaming the system for years and milking workers for every penny they can get. You’re going to take their advice now when they’re literally the reason the system is broken in the first place?

And they would get a drop in the bucket that could never compete with media corp money.

I legalize drug to take the crime out of them. Including heroin.

Yes, Joe Rogan is 1000 times more believable than Gupta because Rogan will answer any question and is on for hours. Gupta and the Corporate cable media hide in short scripted segments.

Ugh… so sad to see a grown man flail like this.

Thank you.

I see the point you are making, but I don’t think that was the intent of the OP. There are many topics that both sides will disagree on, but there are some that we could work on and make happen.

In order to agree, isn’t how we’re going to work on it and who is going to do it required?

Sure, I would love to see that happen. I’m tired of the status quo. I think government needs held accountable to get stuff done.

That’s what I’m doing. You and I may agree in principle. As soon as you say ā€œgovernmentā€ (for example), I may longer agree.

Yeah…I know about your disdain for centgov.

And I your love for it.

This was just a few years ago, highly doubt it has changed that much.

Personally I have no desire or need for a union to represent me.

They are losing support because people are waking up. If I cannot earn a good wage on my own merit and accomplishments, well then that is on me.

It is more knowing it is necessary. So we either try to make it work…or constantly bitch about how it doesn’t work…and do nothing to fix it.

But I get it… Those that think like you do not believe it can be fixed.

Sounds like you have tremendous faith in businesses always doing the right thing.

History (including recent history) shows otherwise…

I drive a sonata and a tundra, used to have a carry, my stuff hasn’t been messed with in 12 years.

I dont need a union to represent me because I understand I gotta produce to make everyone money, myself included.

I dont have a desire to run a business though, so I looked at what has the best compensation, union work tends to pay more and have better retirement packages. Seems simple to me.

I have faith that my knowledge and experience will get me a fair wage. Has not disappointed me yet.

Did you work at a big 3 auto plant?
I worked at one of the big 4 engine plants and they have signs telling people what make/model can park and where. ā€œForeignā€ makes have to park against the back fence, yet most of those ā€œforeignā€ cars were built in the states by American workers.

No I never have.

I know that is a true statement about the parking arrangements.

It was stupid then and it’s stupid now. I have never supported any sort of union intimidation and I have heard stories far worse then parking set ups.

Unions need to be flexible with a global economy and need to adapt.
