Makes sense right now actually. Both Trump and Harris are stronger politically than the other side is willing to admit.
Harris has an advantage thanks to the abortion debate flaring up beyond the south thanks to the ending of Roe V Wade. While I learn more pro-life I’ll admit that politically the Republicans have kind of bombed this and they’ve been taking a beating in local and state elections the past few years because of it. This could be a big help for Harris.
Trump has an advantage because as much as they keep posting somewhat positive numbers, the economy just sucks for most people right now. Inflation has been a real bitch and Trump wasn’t there for four years. He’s running on that and seeing results. Harris can’t reasonably claim anything positive on the economic front and I think that shows in her campaign. She’s focusing a lot more on personality and the abortion issue.
True. It’s immaterial because the founders were smart enough to recognize that the presidency shouldn’t be decided by mob action. There should be a form of check and balance on the process.
Just for ■■■■■ and grins, I would love to see Trump narrowly win the popular vote, but lose in the Electoral College, just for the fun of watching all the longtime Electoral College defenders heads explode.
Turning to the OP.
I think Harris wins the National Popular Vote by a relatively small margin.
