Popular vote outcome prediction?

Minnesota is neither Midwest nor Heartland. It is Southern Canada.

Illinois is Heartland.

You outsiders get it wrong all the time, and then go posting misinformation for people to further spread. You should all be censored. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Makes sense right now actually. Both Trump and Harris are stronger politically than the other side is willing to admit.

Harris has an advantage thanks to the abortion debate flaring up beyond the south thanks to the ending of Roe V Wade. While I learn more pro-life I’ll admit that politically the Republicans have kind of bombed this and they’ve been taking a beating in local and state elections the past few years because of it. This could be a big help for Harris.

Trump has an advantage because as much as they keep posting somewhat positive numbers, the economy just sucks for most people right now. Inflation has been a real bitch and Trump wasn’t there for four years. He’s running on that and seeing results. Harris can’t reasonably claim anything positive on the economic front and I think that shows in her campaign. She’s focusing a lot more on personality and the abortion issue.

Then every adult around you in the Heartland raised you just a little less intelligent than the rest of the kids.

Fair point. Good thing we took government class out of public schools.

The ignorant certainly demand the illusion they are choosing their king.

True. It’s immaterial because the founders were smart enough to recognize that the presidency shouldn’t be decided by mob action. There should be a form of check and balance on the process.

But it is fun to speculate about popular vote results.

Yeah because it can predict the EV advantage.

If Trump wins the EV but the stump wins the popular vote…we’re never going to hear the end of just how bad the electoral college is.

Part of me almost wants to see Trump win the Electoral College in a landslide while losing the popular vote just to see what happens.

simply not true.

without the 7 swing states its harris 230 trump 215 swing states 93.

Guys… there is an almost near zero chance Trump wins the popular vote. Kamala will win it by a larger margin than Biden did over Trump.

It won’t be pretty.

Nothing’s going to happen. We’re going to see same people rehash same arguments we’ve heard for years.

Now - in a very very very improbable scenario that Trump wins the popular vote but loses the EC - that would be super interesting

Just for ■■■■■ and grins, I would love to see Trump narrowly win the popular vote, but lose in the Electoral College, just for the fun of watching all the longtime Electoral College defenders heads explode.

Turning to the OP.

I think Harris wins the National Popular Vote by a relatively small margin.
