Popular vote outcome prediction?

Given the multitude of reasons to not vote for Trump … most of them legitimate reasons. … Shocking is exactly the right word.

No 9/11 to boost his vote totals.

No Reagan coattails to ride on.

Pretty damn impressive.

If I make a prediction, it is a fair bet the opposite will happen. Way back when, I already predicted the GOP would lose the Senate, the Presidency and the House. A clean sweep for DEMs, was my prediction. I further predicted Harris would equal Biden’s popular vote margin.

About par for the course with my prediction accuracy over the years. The House is still up for grabs. Time will tell whether I’m ever able to get one right.

Also - the changing demographics were supposed to put Democrats in permanent majority. In 1988, about 80% of Americans were white.

Today it’s closer to 60 %.

It is a fair question it’s hard to see how a Romney or John McCain could’ve put this coalition of voters together. I could be wrong, but I would imagine future politicians will try to replicate him or was he was just a unique once in a lifetime success story that goes away when his time is up.

I think the left is gonna have to find their version of populism or risk being obsolete they have lost the working class and now look like champagne elite socialist of the Coast

Just like there hasn’t been another Reagan, I doubt there will ever be another Trump. I’m betting in 2028 we will see popular vote numbers will go back to where they were with DEMs likely to continue to win because of the big blue coastal cities.

As of now Trump surpassed total number of votes that he received in 2020…and still 4 million votes ahead of Harris.
