Polar bears increasing, not decreasing as predicted

Remember when the media had the children all upset that the polar bears were dying? That was just another example of fake news the left fell for as usual!..

" Far from the 2007 predictions of a 67% decline in global polar bear numbers, the new report reveals that numbers have risen to the highest levels in decades.

The US Geological Survey estimated the global population of polar bears at 24,500 in 2005. In 2015, the IUCN Polar Bear Specialist Group estimated the population at 26,000 (range 22,000–31,000)7 but additional surveys published 2015–2017 brought the total to near 28,500. However, data published in 2018 brought that number to almost 29,500

““Inuit believe there are now so many bears that public safety has become a major concern,” said one section of the report, according to the Canadian Press. “Public safety concerns, combined with the effects of polar bears on other species, suggest that in many Nunavut communities, the polar bear may have exceeded the coexistence threshold.””

Most of northern canada is a protected with minimum effect on environment.

Yes… the scientists were wrong in 2007 predicting a decline.

This is what happens in Canada for telling the truth. It’s another lynching…

" After 15 years as an adjunct assistant professor, Ms. Crockford said the University of Victoria rejected without explanation in May her renewal application, despite her high profile as a speaker and author stemming from her widely cited research on polar bears and dog domestication.

Ms. Crockford accused officials at the Canadian university of bowing to “outside pressure,” the result of her research showing that polar bear populations are stable and even thriving, not plummeting as a result of shrinking Arctic sea ice, defying claims of the climate change movement."

That word doesn’t mean what you think it does nor will your use of ot change how offensive it was for the President of the United States to use it in that manner

Did you read The Guardian article?

Wow. That website is something else.

My guess is not beyond the headline.

It would appear so as the article certainly doesn’t support his position.

It explains the discrepancy fairly well.

To provide a little levity in what is a very serious problem, given all the grief that we Aussies get about all our alleged animals that are out to kill us at least they don’t include polar bears.

The European honeybee is the most lethal animal in Australia.

10 deaths a year…

Who knew that stop hunting would increase the population?

I think the issue is more the potential to kill than actual killings. You have some nasty â– â– â– â–  down there

Where did you get the figure of 10 fatalities per year in Australia?

I saw that figure somewhere, but Australia also on the cutting edge of developing a vaccine against honeybee venom.

Thanks for the link.

Haha. When a polar bear wants you, you’ve got a real problem. They are perhaps the smartest most cunning and creative predator on the planet, bar none.

No mosquito deaths? Cuz globally, nothing comes close to the mosquito.
