Pete Hegseth Secretary of Defense

Bingo! That stigma you said doesn’t exist.

These programs existed during the Trump administration. Predated his admin.

Neither of them had the women problem. Neither of them had their own mother say he is terrible.

Why can yall just say “yes he’s unqualified, but since Trump picked him, I like him”

Yep! Hegseth’s only qualification is that he is a straight white male.

I didn’t say it didn’t exist. I said the opposite. And I said those who think it are racist.

What are his qualifications to oversee billions (or close to it) in budget… oversee personnel in the millions?

Being a Fox News host?:rofl::rofl::rofl:

I seem to remember you said it didn’t exist when I first brought it up.

But in any case, let’s take an example.

A company is all about affirmative action. Their hires reflect that.

On a few occasions, they run into a highly qualified black individual. They are killing two birds with one stone. They have hired the most qualified individual, who happens to be black.

Those who work with him, know he is very capable. Those in other departments simply see a black man. They know nothing about him. They have no idea as to why he was hired. Given the company is all about affirmative action, they assume the black man was hired to fill a quota.

That has nothing to do with racism and everything to do with the flaws in Affirmative Action programs.

Anytime someone in congress complains about a nominee’s “lack of experience” for their position. Just realize that it actually means the nominee is not a long time deep state puppet.

so if someone was a DEI hire and it is acknowledged that’s racist?

no, thats reality

I would be a hypocrite if I suddenly changed my tune and said I thought he was qualified. I pissed a lot of people off in earlier posts saying that I didn’t think he wasn’t qualified.

I also predicted he wouldn’t be confirmed. On that count, I’m still batting zero percent. Another wrong prediction.

But here we are.

I remember having similar discussions back in 2008 about community organizer Obama. And yet he served two terms as our President. I hated everything about his politics, but the world didn’t end.

I’m ready to move forward and give Hegseth the benefit of the doubt. Let’s see what he can do.

Do you consider Gen Lloyd Austin was qualified, more than qualified, somewhat qualified or not qualified based on his military background and experience?

I believe he was very successful in his efforts to socially reengineer our military. Hopefully Hegseth will be every bit as successful in undoing all of the damage.

This is text book racism.

Assuming a negative quality about another individual based solely on their race (and not their qualifications).

That’s racist. How can yall see it any other way? Misinterpreting AA/DEI to justify racism… is still racism.

Based on his resume and confirmation hearing he was very qualified. Same with Mattis and Esper.

How do you determine if someone was a DEI hire? Is it just assumed?

how do you? or do you just ignore it?

No, I think internet man told you the only way anybody could possibly oppose anything you want is because they are woke.

It couldn’t possibly be anything else It just couldn’t. Does not compute. .

That’s the parroting.

Actually, it isn’t.

If there were no Affirmative Action programs, then the only way a person of color would be hired would be if they were most qualified for the job.

There would be no question in anyone’s mind that the person was there solely because they were qualified.

Affirmative Action quotas introduce an element of doubt. That doubt has nothing to do with racism.

But would Mattis sail through confirmation today, knowing his first order of business would be to undo everything that was done by the prior administration?

I would. Especially in the government sector.

Yet on Austin’s watch the Afghan ■■■■ show happened, DEI and woke policies were implemented, 8,000 troops were fired losing pay and benefits for not taking the WuFlu jab, new weapons systems and Naval vessels are behind delivery schedules, recruitment goals haven’t been met in years, readiness training is not sufficient and an estimated 70% of US service personnel are considered obese. Worked out well doncha think?
