PARADISE LOST: Trump Admin Imposes MAJOR SANCTIONS on Maduro’s Family, Top Officials

The Trump administration moved to clampdown on Venezuela’s socialist regime Tuesday, unveiling a round of serious sanctions against senior officials close to President Nicolas Maduro and his wife.

The new guidelines prohibit Americans from doing business with any assets or companies related to First Lady Cilia Flores, Vice President Delcy Rodriguez, Communications Manager Jorge Rodriguez and Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino.

“We are continuing to designate loyalists who enable Maduro to solidify his hold on the military and the government while the Venezuelan people suffer," Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin said in a statement. “Treasury will continue to impose a financial toll on those responsible for Venezuela’s tragic decline, and the networks and front-men they use to mask their illicit wealth.”

Maduro’s socialist regime has struggled to cope with Venezuela’s crippling economic collapse in recent years; imposing strict new “revolutionary” policies including a 3,000% increase in minimum wage and creating a new currency.
