I see your problem. You think I asserted that the percent of illegal immigrants who are legitimate asylum applicants is 0.5%. I did not. What I said was that the legitimate claims for asylum were probably closer to 0.5% than the 5% figure that was being tossed around. What I blame you for is that if that’s the case, 92% don’t belong here but because of Brandonites and Brandon…they are. Way too many when you realize most of them have no serious claim. If all those central and South American countries are brutalizing their own people based on race, religion or political beliefs, why are we on good terms with them?
Those countries aren’t filled with concentration camps.
There should be a limit to about a thousand asylum seekers a year, after very close scrutiny.
If we can’t get hold of this scam, we need to just end asylum altogether.

These people are now marching ing into America with no work, no visible source of support, no where to live…they are sleeping in our parks, our schools, our streets….

I have told you numerous times, the statement that I made that you have latched your teeth into was that the number of illegal imigrants who meet the requirements for asylum is probably closer to 0.5% rather than the 5% number being bandied about. Never have I stated the 0.5% figure as fact. But you have chosen not only to distort that statement but to also distort the figures from INS by comparing approvals to the number of applications processed instead of to the total number who illegally cross the border. Your dishonesty in the course of this conversation is blatant. So just stop.
