A lone suspect reportedly attacked a random passenger on a New York City subway platform Wednesday evening; viciously shoving her head-first into a waiting train.

Video of the incident went viral on social media, with many flagging the incident to the NYPD and MTA police.

“The man, hopping up and down and screaming ‘What!’ several times, appears to initially shove somebody else in the 7:20 p.m. incident at the Dekalb Avenue subway station in Fort Greene,” reports the NY Post.

“He then pummels the unsuspecting woman with both hands, forcing her to tumble face-first into the idle train,” adds the newspaper.

The incident comes days after an EMT worker was attacked in New York City; prompting a fierce outcry from union officials.

“Mayor de Blasio, you need to do more to protect the men and women who protect and serve this city,” said Oren Barzilay, president of EMS union Local 2507. “The city is spiraling down to a chaos where there’s no respect for nobody — buckets of water thrown at police officers, assaults on EMTs and paramedics are on a daily basis, assaults on MTA workers is on a daily basis … our city has run down to a point of no return.”
