Operation Prosperity Guardian in Red Sea

The volume of stupid statements from your keyboard continues to grow.

A ragged group of rebels has managed to halt shipping through the Red Sea, and the attacks continue to hit commercial vessels.

If the western navies could easily stop the attacks, they would have done it already.

You keep forgetting that Iran is orchestrating and funding these efforts. They aren’t a ragged group of rebels. Sooner or later the combined navies will come together and minimize the threat; or not. But it will be their choice. It won’t be because they are unable to do so.

Sometimes, I’ve got to really wonder about your true agenda with this continued frothing at the mouth.

The US has been working overtime to make powerful nations into enemies. This is terrible for America in the long run.

Missile technology and targeting information similar to that which sank the Moskva could be used to sink US Navy ships. We reap what we sow. It is just a matter of time.

You sound like a cheerleader for the terrorists. The US and its allies are powerless to stop them. On and on it goes.

Wow you are seriously deluded here. The ONLY reason the US Navy has not leveled the launch sites is because Biden has handcuffed them. Given the ok, all it would take is some tomahawks from the DDG’s in the region and an alpha strike from the Ike. There is NOTHING the Houthis have that could stop it. The ONLY thing protecting them right now is Biden.

That and the fact that a spiral of escalation could easily result in a US defeat. Arab states have been moving towards Iran and Russia and away from the US.

Aircraft carriers allowed the US to win the war in the Pacific 80 years ago, but carriers are becoming increasingly vulnerable to modern missiles and drones. They are likely to end up getting sunk or severely damaged in a war with Iran.

The US has not been able to stop attacks on bases in Iraq and Syria except with occupation by large ground forces. It is unlikely that the navy can stop the attacks in the Red Sea without getting bogged down in a ground war in Yemen.

As is usually the case, you have no clue what you are talking about! But your comments clearly show where your allegiance lies.

Wow you are really believing the ■■■■■■■■ you post…hate to tell ya, actually no I don’t…you are sorely mistaken. Our carriers can launch from quite a ways away from the target, birds can utilize inflight refueling to and from the target, all out of the range of any supposed ship killers you think they might have.

Russia has repeatedly used hypersonic missiles in Ukraine. China and Iran claim to have the technology as well, but the US is still trying to get a working system. The US aircraft carriers date from the 1970s and are rapidly becoming obsolete.

So, in your distorted view of the world, our enemies have been rapidly advancing their capabilities, while the allies have been stuck in the past? I wish you could really see just how silly you look with that kind of mindless dribble.

And if Putin were just stupid enough to directly fire on a US carrier, it would be the biggest mistake he ever makes. He has his hands full with the lowly Ukraine. Even he wouldn’t be stupid enough to incur the wrath of a unified NATO.

The “experts” in Washington grossly underestimated Russian capabilities to fight the war in Ukraine. They would be stupid to make similar mistakes about potential opponents in the Middle East.

On the other hand, they seem to be more interested in protecting narratives than in protecting the US so don’t underestimate their stupidity.

Typical uninformed individual. We have been focused the last 10+ years on field testing speed of light defensive systems. A hypersonic weapon doesn’t mean anything when engaged by an electron laser (particle beam) system. When the electron laser make even the slightest deformity in the weapon, the friction from the atmosphere tears the weapon apart. And we have already seen where are old, slow Patriate Systems can successfully engage Russian Hypersonic missiles.

Oops, there you go using actual facts instead of propaganda…how dare you!!!

Yes, there are a whole range of measures and countermeasures. Swarms of missiles and decoys, electronic jamming, etc. can overwhelm missile defense system regardless of the speed of the death ray.

The US has a history of underestimating its opponents. For example, the new US general in Kyiv was surprised to find that the Russians have been successfully jamming US precision munitions in Ukraine. What surprises would the Navy encounter in a war with Iran?

For now the Houthi appear to be concentrating their efforts on attacking commercial vessels, so a missile attack on the navy is unlikely. That does not mean that the navy is immune from attack.

You are seriously deluded. Russia has its hands full with lowly Ukraine. That is a fact we are seeing played out before us on a daily basis.

And you seriously believe the US is clueless in this regard, with no way to effectively counter these systems? Seriously??

The US military is already overextended and events in the Middle East are rapidly increasing the problem. Here are some examples:

  1. The Ukraine war has left US weapons stocks seriously depleted. Biden’s mantra of support for Ukraine has shifted from “long as it takes” to “as long as we can”.

  2. The Gaza war is forcing the US to send remaining weapons to Israel and station US naval forces in the eastern Med. The Gaza war is turning world opinion against the US, especially in the Middle East.

  3. The Eisenhower task force has been forced to move from the coast of Iran to the coast of Yemen in response to the recent Red Sea attacks, which have effectively closed the Red Sea to commercial shipping.

  4. US occupation troops in Syria and Iraq are seeing increasing missile attacks. The inability of the US to end missile attacks in Iraq and Syria does not bode well for success in stopping Houthi attacks against commercial shipping near Yemen.

  5. The conflict between Hezbollah and Israel means Israelis have largely abandoned large parts of northern Israel. A two front war may force the US to intervene directly in order to prevent an Israeli defeat.

  6. Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran, and Egypt are all scheduled to join BRICS. The US is losing its major allies in the region, while Russia and China are moving closer to Iran.

The current trajectory for the US military in the Middle East is death by a thousand paper cuts, and escalation could result in a rapid US strategic defeat.

The neocons running Washington have no idea how to conduct real diplomacy and no reverse gear so they are trapped in Chinese finger cuffs.

All I can say is WOW!
