Firebrand Senator and rising Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren joined a handful of far-left politicians this week; saying it’s now time to “decriminalize” illegal border crossings into the United States.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., is the latest 2020 Democrat to be in favor of decriminalizing border crossing as the field of candidates continue to move left on immigration,” reports Fox News. “Following in the footsteps of former HUD Secretary Julián Castro, who was the first to call for the decriminalization of migrants who enter the United States at the border without proper documentation, Warren told the Huffington Post that she ‘agreed’ with him.”

“We should not be criminalizing mamas and babies trying to flee violence at home or trying to build a better future,” Warren said in a statement published on Tuesday.

“We must pass comprehensive immigration reform that is in line with our values, creates a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants including our DREAMers, and protects our borders,” she added.

The Senator has lurched-left on a series of issues in recent weeks; calling for “Gay Reparations” for the country’s “discriminatory” tax code.

“It wasn’t until marriage equality became law that gay & lesbian couples could jointly file tax returns—so they paid more in taxes. Our government owes them more than $50M for the years our discriminatory tax code left them out. We must right these wrongs,” posted Warren on social media.

Warren unveiled her latest proposal to radically transform the country’s education system two weeks ago; calling for the creation of free public colleges and the cancellation of nearly all student loan debt.

“We got into this crisis because state governments and the federal government decided that instead of treating higher education like our public school system — free and accessible to all Americans — they’d rather cut taxes for billionaires and giant corporations and offload the cost of higher education onto students and their families,” writes Warren in an op-ed published by Medium.

“The first step in addressing this crisis is to deal head-on with the outstanding debt that is weighing down millions of families and should never have been required in the first place. That’s why I’m calling for something truly transformational — the cancellation of up to $50,000 in student loan debt for 42 million Americans,” she adds.

“Public college education is like a public K-12 education — a basic public good that should be available to everyone with free tuition and zero debt at graduation. My plan for universal free college will give every American the opportunity to attend a two-year or four-year public college without paying a dime in tuition or fees,” concludes Warren.

Warren has routinely vowed to “remake” the American economy on the campaign trail in recent weeks.
