Why are we rapidly moving to get into a war that almost no one wants?
I think that’s mainly because most Americans have no fear of Iran. It also looks like Israel is doing fine on their own.

Or they remember the overblown hype over WMDs that got us into Iraq.
When was the last time the government actually told the truth about the justification for war?
WMD’s were a bust. The Sharia Law coming to America was a dud. Even the Big Red Bear turned out to be nothing but a teddy.
I think it would look cool to see a bunker buster take out their nuke facilities, but they’re a yawner otherwise.

As it stands, Israel is doing a fine job already. Even though the results of different questions can be counter-intuitive, maybe both 84% segments of the population can get their wish.
A fundamental issue is why we consider the possibility of Iran getting a nuke to be such a big deal, but we brazenly ignore concerns about nukes in Russia, China, Pakistan, India, Israel, etc.
Is this just hype?
People want a lot of things. I want world peace. Is that going to happen anytime soon?
Fighting a war with a country because you think they could quickly get nuclear weapons makes zero sense. A long war means you are likely to be fighting against a nuclear power, and you may well create a nuclear war rather than avoid one.
Me personally…drop the bunker buster. I don’t want Iran to get nukes.

It makes perfect sense for Israel. If Iran got a nuke, I wouldn’t want to be in Israel.
Right, and we have been fighting a proxy war with Russia, the world’s largest nuclear power with scarcely any concerns.
Pakistan has nukes as well–an Islamic bomb.
Russia’s nukes probably don’t work anymore. lol

Mutual assured destruction could bring an end to the endless wars in the Middle East.
Right now, Israel can attack anyone with impunity.

Yeah, but it has to bow to Meca 5 times before it fires, so we got time.
Plus, we gave them those. Probably don’t even work.
Keeping the Middle East down keeps them from having more global influence than they already do.
