I don’t know about other schools, but at my school, and circle of friends, if a girl we knew was raped because she drank too much, the school would learn of it.
These rape parties supposedly went on for years. There would have been dozens of girls who were being drugged and gang raped. These girls had friends, classmates, siblings, and former or current boyfriends, some of who must have also attended these parties and knew what went on.
My better nature leads me to believe they would not have all acquiesced and remained silent, allowing these rapes to go on, and on.

The fact that we are discussing this shows their is debate. The age of majority is an arbitrary standard created for legal purposes.
Physically, 18-19 years are not fully physically developed. Neither are they fully mentally and emotionally developed. They just aren’t. We use the term “acting like an adult” in reference to behavior and maturity, not a legal standard.
