I don’t doubt the sessions took place, as I also don’t question her story with the exception of Kavanaugh being there. This has the hallmark of a woman who may indeed be a victim lashing out at the institution she feels was responsible for her assault, and from the looks of it, 200 other women’s recollection of the all boys school. Couple that with her apparently avid political persuasion, and a pound of flesh is what the good psychologist ordered.

And yes, I stick with politically motivated.

I really doubt the FBI will find anything so I think it is a waste of time and is just a stalling tactic.

However, if it happens being Ford nor kavanaugh should be able to see ANY results of it before they testify. Ideally if you are going to do it you do it after so you can determine if it matches their testimony or not.

I don’t see any way you can do it before, give the results to the committee, and have the info NOT get to Ford and Kav at which point they would adjust their testimony accordingly.

So IF it is done, do it after so the testimony isn’t shaped by the results and then let the chips fall where they may.

Is there really much that either of them can change at this point? Kavanaugh has insisted that he was never at the party in question and that he never did what was alleged. She claims the opposite. I do see the logic in your point here though, and it makes sense.

I wonder how all rape victims are feeling tonight…how libs have used rape accusations as a political weapon?

Probably glad that we don’t minimalize their trauma purely for partisan reasons like cons.

If this incident actually happened, she is doing the nation a great service by exposing Kavanaugh before he receives a lifetime Supreme Court appointment.

The alleged sexual harassment took place in the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission, where Thomas was chairman. The alleged harassment took place between 1982 and 1990. The FBI had jurisdiction and the President ordered the FBI to investigate.

There is no parallel, as the alleged incident took place at a high school party 36 years ago. The FBI has no jurisdiction in this case.

If someone tried to rape me, I’d think I’d remember the date, the exact location, and whose house it was at.

Well thankfully we have a bunch of conservative men around to tell women exactly how they should respond to sexual misconduct and the facts they should remember.

If empathy wasn’t a foreign concept to the right, some might realize that events like this can be extremely traumatizing and people actually try to forget them in order to move on with their lives and have meaningful relationships with people.

Well no, if she could name a date, someone could at least put them both in the same place at the time. And any other people there may have seen something even if they weren’t in the room, her leaving the room or house in tears for example.

She’s willing to testify after the FBI reviews the case. it’s absurd to expect a woman to sit next to the man who violently assaulted her and testify about the assault to a bunch of Senators on National TV without first doing an investigation. If Kavanaugh is innocent why are Republicans so afraid to let the FBI review the case?

It’s not a matter of being afraid, it’s a matter of jurisdiction. Go demand the local PD where she alleged it took place investigate.

Ford also signed a letter along with other health professionals demanding that President Donald Trump stop his controversial family separation policy at the U.S.-Mexico border.

She told The Washington Post she is a registered Democrat and has made small campaign contributions to Democratic organizations. FEC records show that she contributed $10 to the Democratic National Committee, $5 the ActBlue PAC and $27 to Senator Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign via ActBlue in 2017. She also contributed $35 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and $3.50 to ActBlue in 2014.

LOl the FBI will not investigate, because they know she is a leftist loon doing this for political reasons, with no evidence to back up her claim. The FBI would have considered an investigation if Mark Judge agreed with Ford. Judge said the allegation is insane and untrue. Ford said she would testify, and now she wont testify. Couple the fact that she is using the exact words of Kamala Harris! People and government institutions are tired of creating special counsels and fbi investigations beginning off hearsay with no evidence . Democrats are king of this tactic.

I’m most uncomfortable with the message here being that victims of sexual assault cannot say anything unless they have proof of their accusations. I can’t tolerate that.

What if I told you Chuck Schumer robbed me at gunpoint?. I don’t know when or where. There were no witnesses.

What if I told you Ruth Bader Ginsburg molested me. Don’t know when. Don’t know where. No witnesses.

Could you tolerate that? Would you take it seriously?

Does that include talking about it with the Washington Post and Senators or not?

I’m not sure what your point is. Of course you can talk about it with anyone. The issue is there is nothing that I have heard or read to date to gives any credibility to her claim.
