According to Trump on her tape, firing her wasn’t his doing and he was unaware of any of her misdeeds which to my knowledge have still not been made public so we don’t even know what they were or if they actually existed.

So Trump is clueless about what is going on in his own Administration, hell just in the White House and his ignorance is supposed to be a comforting thought? Not.

Or he was hiring her for his campaign again. Is she the first ex-whitehouse staffer to get a job on the campaign of a President? I seem to recall David Axelrod being on Obama’s campaign, and then an adviser and then back to the campaign.

Please refresh my memory, was Axelrod fired for cause and threatened with legal action if he didn’t leave and then offered a $180,000 a year job as hush money?

That it was hush money is speculation. The NDA is irrelevant. And as far as I know, there is no legal reason a campaign can’t have not having you out there saying negative things as one of it’s reasons for hiring you. For it to be illegal you need a quid pro quo for covering up an illegal act.

In addition, don’t confuse paying hush money with being illegal. It’s not, hush money can be paid and be perfectly legal. For example, hiring Omarosa for $180,000 and letting her stay at home to play Minecraft and not do any work. Perfectly legal.

Not sure that would be legal actually, might run into a fraud problem, well you would with a corporate job and investors anyway, not sure how that would work with a campaign. Sorry about the compound negatives. I’ll attempt to clean it up. I am unaware of any statute against hiring someone for a campaign for the purposes of limiting bad publicity they may cause as a partial reason for the hire. If Axelrod was planning a tell all book and the Obama campaign said why don’t you come work for us instead, would that be illegal?
