Please refresh my memory, was Axelrod fired for cause and threatened with legal action if he didn’t leave and then offered a $180,000 a year job as hush money?

I do recall David Axelrod being fired by the Obama’s administration and then immediately offered a job working for the Obama campaign.
The Trump Campagin is currently sueing her also.
That it was hush money is speculation. The NDA is irrelevant. And as far as I know, there is no legal reason a campaign can’t have not having you out there saying negative things as one of it’s reasons for hiring you. For it to be illegal you need a quid pro quo for covering up an illegal act.
The same Campagin that was currently sueing Axelrod for violating NDA.
offered a job working for the Obama campaign.
By Michelle Obama’s sister.

Not technically illegal!
You do know the Trump campagin party is currentlying sueing Omarosa right? why would they offer her a job.
zantax:
Or he was hiring her for his campaign again. Is she the first ex-whitehouse staffer to get a job on the campaign of a President? I seem to recall David Axelrod being on Obama’s campaign, and then an adviser and then back to the campaign.

I don’t recall him being fired and offerred hush money. I seem to remember he worked at as a senior adviser for a few years and then went directly to the campaign.
We he fired?

Were they suing her before or after the job offer was made?

According to Trump on her tape, firing her wasn’t his doing and he was unaware of any of her misdeeds which to my knowledge have still not been made public so we don’t even know what they were or if they actually existed.
how is Trump not responsible for firing of his own staff?
Shady as hell but, but not illegal!!!
I agree it looks pretty shady. But shady is not illegal.

Sorry there are so many nots/negatives in this I can’t figure it out “there is no legal reason a campaign can’t have not having you out there saying negative things as one of it’s reasons for hiring you.”.
In addition, don’t confuse paying hush money with being illegal. It’s not, hush money can be paid and be perfectly legal. For example, hiring Omarosa for $180,000 and letting her stay at home to play Minecraft and not do any work. Perfectly legal.

How boring, yes, for the hundredth time, what is and isn’t illegal is entirely a matter of legal technicalities, don’t blame me for how things are.

all is forgiven if she shuts the hell up…
