Ms. Omar is correct, Israel Is a republic, not a Democracy, Like the United States. It affords protections for minority voices, unlike a democracy which is purely “majority rule”

For some reason, Minnesota and especially the Minneapolis -St. Paul area, has become a major magnet for Somali immigrants. While ignored by most major news, in Wisconsin we often saw news reports about Somali cabdrivers refusing to take fares if they thought there was any chance that the person had bought any alcohol and Somali store clerks refusing to check out patrons if they included any type of pork, ham or bacon in their groceries. Wal-Mart defended this treatment of customers and the State Legislature said it was okay for Somali Muslims to discriminate against non-Muslims. It made me glad I lived in Wisconsin and not Minnesota. Minnesota used to be a state that was predominantly Native American and Scandinavian. Now it is becoming more like a Muslim territory.
