Ok. Since we're obsessing about slavery.............Again

You’ll never get a lib to condemn their own very way of life.

They need their slave-made electronics to virtue signal with, and ■■■■ any child or Muslim that dies for their comforts.

File it under “Know your audience.”.

Now you’re getting it. The whole thing is irrelevant.

Every time you start posting about slavery, you run head first into a ridiculous take.

If only Cassius Clay was half the man Cassius Clay was, he really would’ve been THE greatest of all time.

There is nothing ridiculous about what I said; it’s historic fact. But it was somewhat ridiculous for Casius to shed his virulently anti-slavery name in exchange for the name of an overt slaver.

What made his name anti slavery?

And here I though everyone knew who Cassius Clay was named after. Everyone except the …

His actions. Are you unfamiliar with what the man did?

I don’t know if it’s selective knowledge or deliberate ignorance. But then, I guess it doesn’t matter.

It does make sense though now that I’m thinking about it. Why the hell would a race baiter know these kinds of things anyway? They’re ignorant enough to be race baiters for crying out loud.

ETA: Oh, I remember now!

We did a thread about this already, and it was avoided like the plague. I know why… :sunglasses:

Sure.

How does that make “Clay” any less a “slave name”? Seems like you don’t understand the sentiment of “slave names” for some.

What he did as man. He was born into the richest slaver family in Kentucky, openly rejected it, and became famous for winning duels with pro-slavery advocates in the 1840s. Man amassed a real body count of dead slavers. Even got a bounty out on his head over the situation. He also beat pro slavers in the Kentucky assembly with a cane.

And at that time, the only good slaver was a dead slaver. So Cassius Clay is a real hero in my book.

Actions are the only thing that matters. For example, Eisenhower is a German name.

Not denying any of that. Great story and I am glad he was inspired by one of my abolitionist hero’s, William Garrison.

None of that makes “Clay” any less of a slave name. Meaning, Cassius Clays (the abolitionist) parents… gave Cassius Clays slave ancestors… the “Clay” name. Stripping them of their original name.

Sure and the actions of the “Clay” family was being slavers at the time the name was forced on Ali’s ancestors.

Bernie Sanders is one of the biggest Lib out there…He was, and is against the outsourcing of manufacturing to China.

Reaganomics is where that concept started…under the guise of cheaper stuff. Also included were dramatically increased profits for the company…that did the outsourcing.

Not “the Clay family” … Cassius Clay
