NYC student arrested for threatening mass shooting at a Harlem school is RELEASED without bail

Oh look, another one who will be written about who “was known to law enforcement” when it goes down. I’m sure there will be plenty of room to blame the gun however.

A New York City college student was arrested for threatening to shoot up his Harlem school, only to be later released without bail.

All CCNY Public Safety Officers have been informed that Mr. Bajrektarevic has been suspended and barred from campus, and they are fully prepared to enforce the bar should he attempt to enter the City College campus,’ the school said in its email,

The school also released a photo of Bajrektarevic, and implored the community to be on the lookout for him.

I’m sure that will be great comfort to those on campus. I know, I know…but what are we supposed to do? He only made threats.

Happens all the time four names pop up in my mind currently that were on the police radar and considered a major threat yet still managed to go through with the carnage. The shooter at the Fed Ex in Indianapolis last year was interviewed by the FBI and their conclusion was he had the makings of a mass shooter yet no one stopped him.

We need to enforce existing law and more jails.

A lot more.

Well there you go. Problem solved.

Where would he get a gun?

Well…what do you expect? It’s not like he was a super, duper criminal protesting in DC on January 6th?

That should be sufficient. What are y’all worried about?

If this perp kills someone, should the judge who released him be indicted?

The other possibility is that he shows up to court on Jan 11 as ordered.

If that happens… will anyone care?

Charge him with terrorism and hate crimes, then release him onto the streets, because he’s totally not a threat to everyone around him.

Leftist logic right there. Is he white enough to care when the bullets start flying? :man_shrugging:

The answer is yes…I care that our laws are both followed and applied to all…equally. So releasing a person who is threatening a mass shooting, like what’s currently happening around our nation but this judge chooses to release him back onto the streets, if he follows through with his threat, should this judge be charged? Is there even a law on the books regarding this? Can a judge be charged?

The law of NY State is being followed then.

CORRECTION!

Soft-on-crime law is being followed.

There is no “humanitarian crisis” at our southern border as reported on Fox News. It is an outright invasion of the United States, intentionally orchestrated and perpetuated by the leadership of our tyrannical federal government which includes traitorous, judges, legislators, and our current president of the United States.

Judges have absolute immunity, civilly and criminally, from all decisions made from the Bench.

So the answer to your question is No.

Thank you.

Judges most certainly can be charged and convicted of various acts engaged in while carrying out their official duties.

He was charged with three misdemeanors.

If he shows up to his Jan 11 court date without incident then this hand wringing was all for naught.

Under NYC’s soft-on-crime policy

If only Tina Forte had been elected.
