I personally do not see any difference between this, and the ‘catch and kill’ operation run by the National Enquirer on behalf of the Trump campaign.
Much outrage about nothing.
One is related to sex with woman who were not the candidate’s wife. The other is related to taking bribes, for influence, from foreign powers, including the intelligence service of the PRC. One is about paying to conceal extramarital affairs, the other is about using your public office to sell influence to the highest bidder, including foreign governments. One has to wonder just how much the 51 knew about what was on Hunter’s laptop.

There were none…this forum’s leftists were all in….even when it started to become clear the dossier was bs how many times did we read “many parts of the dossier are true!”…
I want to hear from the whistleblower … this whole story is bigger than hunter’s laptop and his taxes and all the other criminal behavior he’s been part of…it might be bigger than the obvious multiple lies our liar in chief has told…the Biden’s as a family are mind numbingly corrupt…
This whole story goes to the two tiered Justice system we’ve all worried about.
If so many of the members of our intelligence community were ready and willing to sign off on an obvious lie just in time to give Biden cover ahead of not just the election but just in time for that debate…what else politically were they willing to do, even when they were in office? As was said pointed out above what now are the people they hired and promoted willing to do?
If a man who was once nominated to serve on the Supreme Court and is now the Attorney General is willing to lie to Congress about covering up government involvement in what certainly seems like it shouldn’t be that hard an investigation…that laptop is loaded with pictures and emails…replace the name Hunter Biden with Eric Trump and the liberal left would be 24/7 screaming for prosecution and jail and treason charges.
The attorney general who lied about the Hunter investigation to congress is the same man who swore there was no targeting of parents a couple of years ago…who told us all his agency wasn’t targeting people like mark houck…his entire performance is worthy of critical review if the whistle blower steps forward with the receipts he claims he has.
If you tie all of this together this is a scandal for the ages….
The leftist media is already trying to ignore all of this they didn’t even ask the White House spokesperson a question during the briefing yesterday.

I wish I could tie all this together as well as you just did.
First of all, we are talking about the hard drive not the laptop. Multiple copies of the drive were made and no chain of evidence was established.
The forensic analysis that validated that a small number of emails on the drive were from Hunter Biden. But it also found files had been added and deleted since the laptop was left at the shop in Delaware. Importantly, metadata that would validate the origin or dates of files and emails.
Most of what is being “found” on the laptop cannot be validated.
The laptop is not the real deal. It might have been, had it been treated carefully, but tossing it to Rudy Giuliani turned it into the Holy Grail of the anti-Biden crowd and wasted an opportunity to find out what happened in favor of fanning the Base’s resentments.

Agree 100% and a really great post overall worthy of further discussion.
It would be difficult to determine what the original data was and it has been in so many different hands would be difficult (in my laymans mind) to enter it into evidence.

I fully agree, but for one small point- I think the whole thing was engineered by Giuliani from the start- his idea and execution-which is why it is such a mess.

So the 51 intelligence agents lying about Russian disinformation and Blinken coordinating the lie and Joe lying about knowing nothing about hunters businesses and all the photos and emails and everything else incriminating the Biden family and proving Joe is a liar were engineered by Giuliani.
That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever read.

Interesting theory, hard to prove.
When the laptop story emerged it was obviously analogous to the Russian disinformation laptop that appeared in France to support Marine LePen against Macron two cycles ago.
Any reasonable intelligence officer would have thought, the Russians are at it again, especially given the huge Russian effort to meddle in the 2016 election that was documented in the Mueller Report.
Add to that, the last minute emergence of Anthony Weiner’s laptop and Comey’s announcement that this meant a renewed inquiry into the Clinton emails. In the end, Weiner’s laptop contained nothing new, but the polling showed that the Comey announcement cut Clinton’s momentum and may have been decisive in Trump’s narrow 2016 victory.
There was every reason to be suspicious of the arrival of a last-mine laptop in 2020.

Yeah, I am not buying any of that.
I just discussed this in another post. There were several reasons to be suspicious of.a laptop “bombshell” given the Russian disinformation laptop launched into the first Macron/LePen election and the impact of the last minute discovery of Anthony Weiner’s laptop in 2016.
Given the manipulations of the hard drive contents after Giuliani got his hands-on it…the caution these offices expressed about proclaiming the laptop was real was appropriate.

I can think of no other explanation for how the said laptop ended up first with a legally blind repairman who could not say with certainty who left it, and then in Giuliani’s possession.

Former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morrell testified before the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees, and revealed that Blinken was “the impetus” of the public statement signed in October 2020 that implied the laptop belonging to Hunter Biden was disinformation.“
They got the news out just in time for Joe to be able to lie in that debate. “ “There are 50 former national intelligence folks who said that what he’s accusing me of is a Russian plant,” Biden said. “… Five former heads of the CIA, both parties, say what he’s saying is a bunch of garbage. Nobody believes it except his good friend Rudy Giuliani.”

Which is why Mr Morrell and Mr Blinken needed those 51 former “intelligence” (corrupt liars is more likely) to tell their BS story about the russians.

That’s the story….if you want to argue 2020 have fun with that.

I can’t believe I just wasted a half hour of my life putting that together.
This story has the potential to prove exactly how corrupt that bought and paid for Chinese stooge in the White House and the people around him truly are.
Biden’s a damn liar…so is Blinken…so is garland…so is Mayorkas.
I would beg our friends on the left to open their eyes and join the real world in recognizing the damage these frauds are doing to our country…as the Chinese flex their muscles overseas and we watch our southern border being overrun and make crippling national energy policy and revive the stupid green new deal here at home. I would beg… but I know it’s a lost cause.
We are being governed by some of the most corrupt frauds in history folks.
