Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden promised to raise taxes on “day one” of his administration over the weekend; calling President Trump’s tax cuts “enormous giveaways” to America’s wealthiest citizens.
“Income inequity is at an all-time high and made worse by Trump’s tax cuts and enormous giveaways… It’s time to start putting work over wealth. We need big and bold ideas. On day one, I will move to eliminate Trump’s tax cut,” said Biden to cheers from the crowd.
