First president not to be invited to their convention in 116 years.
(vs “to not be invited” but what do journalists know about split infinitives and grammar…? Must not fit their mission.)
they say due to way Trump wants to “eliminate civil rights” and not due to “political party.” it obviously is due to politics, though.
They have multiple lawsuits against admin for ending DEI of course. I question the need for an organization such as this nowadays. Colored people (the “CP” in NAACP) have all the same rights as anyone else. In a sense they have at least in part, achieved their goal.
Is the NAACP still relevant? If not, why are they still a thing?
Maybe if Trump had voted against busses for black kids, or wrote a sweeping crime bill that destroyed the black nuclear family, or referred to black kids as cockroaches, or…
Trump got 21% of black men vote. Doubled his support of black men under 45 (3 in 10 voted for him in this group). Got more black votes than any Rep in nearly 50 years!
So NAACP is obviously seriously tone deaf and purely political.
I think they are trying to unravel the newly won support, pull those voters back to being stooges for democrats
First president to not be invited to the NAACP convention in 116 years. THATS REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRATS ALIKE! Yet now all of a sudden trump doesnt get an invite and its about partisanship? Come on Think Man. Trump got invided in his first administration right? Whats changed? Certainly not partisanship…could it be Trump has gone too far with civil rights? Nah…its party politics for sure.
