And a democrat president no matter what the law says would not enforce the law that no illegals enter. Even if the SC ruled that the president had to obey the law and no illegals enter, a democrat president like biden would not obey their ruling.
All you have to do is look at how biden thumbed his nose at the SC when they ruled that a President does not have the authority to forgive student loan debt. Old biden just keeps forgiving all that student loan debt when he has been told he cannot do that.

Okay, so other than a perpetual Republican administration, which we know isn’t going to happen, what’s your solution?
Refuse to fund it.
The Democrats are never going to do ANYTHING to stop or even reduce the number of illegals crossing the border. It doesn’t matter how many Americans die at the hands of illegals or by fentanyl manufactured by China and distributed by Mexican cartels. The only thing Democrats care about is power and money. They are blatantly trying to get amnesty and voting rights for illegals and the ONLY reason they are pretending to want to “compromise” and pass a bill to do something about the problem they’ve deliberately caused is not because they care about what Republicans think or want, but because voters in their own base are sick and tired of illegals and are starting to get very angry with the scum bags they elected to put them first.
Even if there actually was something in that bill to address the illegal problem, Democrats would cheat, lie and stall implementing anything they agreed to before the ink was dry on the paper, so that they can continue to bring in as many more illegals that they possibly can before Trump gets back into office and on day one simply exercises the Constitutional authority that EVERY President has and just orders the border shut! When thousands start backing up on Mexicos northern border maybe Mexico will stop them from coming into their country and shipping them into ours. It doesn’t matter, they will be Mexicos problem.

What if Trump loses?
Democrats have ZERO intention of slowing, let alone stopping the flow of illegals into this country. The Constitutional authority for the President to shut the border is very easy to understand. He doesn’t need any more law or authority. Joe Biden has ignored his Constitutional oath since the day he was installed and has ignored the Supreme court. Democrats know they can do whatever they damn well please because they have control of the DOJ and the media has been covering for them for years. If it weren’t for Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis shipping illegals to sanctuary cities where Democrats are finally being personally affected by their leaders treachery, this still wouldn’t be an issue. The media would still be silent too, except for the fact that a large percentage of their viewers are Democrats too and when viewers start getting pissed and stop watching, the mainstream networks lose money- lots of it. The sad truth for Democrats right now is that Joe Biden is too senile and incompetent to be of use to them anymore. The powers that be want him out, so they’re not going to cover for him anymore either. They sure as hell aren’t going to let the moron Kamala Harris run. Biden is done politically.
If whoever runs against Trump gets in office, Republicans will be glad that Governors like Greg Abbott are willing to uphold their oath and do the presidents job until someone who gets into the White House who will. I believe a lot more red states are going to begin fighting corrupt DC politicians who are screwing American tax payers for their own gain. It’s going to get a lot more heated as this years get closer to November.

That’s basically my point. The Republican plan to slow illegal immigration seems to be, “Elect Trump.” That’s fine, but someday another Democrat will hold office. Relying on governors like Abbott to fix the problem isn’t working now, and I don’t know why that would change in the future. So maybe legislation that would force a Democratic president’s hand is in order, even if the legislation doesn’t do literally everything you want it to do.
We have such legislation in effect now. That is the whole basis of the Mayorkas impeachment. Illegal crossers cannot just be given a pinky swear to show up later for some hearing and be released into the public.
The current law is just ignored.
So if you pass a new law, the Biden administration can just accept the parts they like and ignore the parts they don’t like.

Okay, so what’s the solution? Is it not possible to pass legislation that would force a Democratic president’s hand? Legislation that a president like Biden would not be able to ignore? Because electing Trump might help, but it would be a temporary solution at best.
Certainly the garbage proposal on the table doesn’t even pretend to do that.

You’re evidently not getting this. THERE ARE ALREADY MANY LAWS THAT OUGHT TO FORCE A DEMOCRAT PRESIDENTS HAND! Instead of detaining, arresting, jailing and deporting illegals who come into our country and committing other crimes (like MURDER for example) Joe Biden is suing Texas for doing just that. Joe is IGNORING THE LAWS! Why do you keep insisting that if we just keep passing more laws, eventually people who are ignoring the laws will start keeping them?
