Some 30 percent of Black Americans said they would vote for former President Donald Trump in a new poll, a huge jump from the percentage of Black people who voted for him in the last two elections.
The survey was published on Wednesday after it was carried out by the New York Times and the Siena College Research Institute.

Support for Trump has been growing in the Black community. He received about 12 percent of the vote in 2020 and 8 percent in 2016.Jim McLaughlin, a pollster for Trump, previously told the Atlantic: “Why is it? It’s because of the issues these people care about. It’s crime, it’s affordability, and it’s also immigration.” . . . .

The poll is not really an outlier, in the typical sense.
It’s more like the high water mark (so far) in an ongoing trend.

While it’s good news, yes, makes you wonder why are the other 70 % not done the same move.

Remember when the fake black kids laughed at the idea of Trump getting more than 10% of the black vote?
