New York city deserves

Agreed. I would argue he would be a good candidate for POTUS in 28.

Perhaps if Kirk had compared Mamdani to actual secular Muslim socialists, such as Saddam Hussein and Assad, he would have had a point.

The 9-11 bombers weren’t socialists. They were jihadists.

New York City depends on tax revenue from Wall Street firms and their highly paid employees. Things could get ugly if they leave the city as a result of Mamdani as mayor.

The only part I’d disagree with was the part about being ready for NYC to be like San Francisco. Have you been to NYC lately? I was there September of last year. Manhattan close to midnight on the eve of a holiday. It didn’t even look like this country. I think I even saw a rickshaw. A nightmarish experience. NYC is San Fran if not worse.

oh no. not a chance.

you come here once in a blue moon, i am here every working day.

Once in a blue moon? I used to go to NYC on the regular. I lived in north Jersey. In the past two decades, yes, once in a blue moon. But what I saw last September felt like I was in Shanghai. The complete opposite of great. A cesspool.

I doubt the democrat party will even be around in ten years…at least not as a major player.

A lot of dems will not go along on the road to Crazy Town.

you have been a suburbanite too long. lol

Seriously. Like communities around the country NYC has had problems in recent years…

But even at its worst in those years, NYC is still one of the greatest places on earth. Food, arts, culture, sports, entertainment, shopping, people from every corner of the planet living and working together. It’s the absolute best of America.

Shanghai is cleaner and everything is much newer. Manhattan looks old and grubby by comparison.

I grew up in a city, then lived in the suburbs. I am not used to a cesspool. A mass of humanity at a crawl with every form of transportation possible. I felt like I was in a different country. Zero chance I ever go back to that dump that is Manhattan. They won’t miss me, and I’ll be really happy I don’t see them again. It was like not being able to move with a ton of trash around you. But after circling the bowl, we managed to get to safety. The only negative, they were never flushed.

Not sure how anybody who frequented the city in 80s and 90s can say that it is a cesspool today compared to then. It’s night and day.

This experience sounds like your own personal Vietnam.

Daily Caller. Now hat is some damn good journalism.

Wall Street companies are not leaving New York nor will they.

All this doom and gloom that everyone is predicting will not come to pass.

Cool Story…does a “strong” government use unidentified persons randomly abducting people based on their looks?

The “free” market does not always work.

Food deserts are geographic areas, often low-income, where residents have limited access to affordable and nutritious food, particularly fresh fruits and vegetables. These areas typically lack supermarkets or large grocery stores and residents rely on smaller stores with limited selection or higher prices. This lack of access can lead to poor diets, increased risk of diet-related diseases
