Arabs currently make up about 20% of Israeli citizens. That figure is near the upper limit for Israel to remain a Jewish state while allowing full voting rights for Arabs.
Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank don’t have Israel citizenship and have been living under a form of de facto apartheid under Israeli occupation. Palestinians have no right to vote in Israeli elections. They are confined to small areas with severe travel restrictions. The nominal local government is under Israeli control. That setup sounds a lot like South Africa’s black townships back in the 1980s.
The stated goal of Netanyahu’s party has long been annexation of the West Bank and Gaza. The only way this can occur and keep Israel Jewish it to either expel the Palestinians or formalize a system of apartheid. Recent occupation of additional territory in Syria only makes the demographics even worse.
Trump said the quiet part out loud with his proposal to take control of Gaza and remove the Palestinians, which was quickly shot down. Apartheid is the obvious plan for now and that may be an important factor in the loss of support for Israel.

Of course that alone says a lot of bad things. Like we Americans are stupid, the left is that unappealing, or both.

If you want a positive reception with the media, just be brown. That’s all they care about if you’re a “poor oppressed minority.”
The West Bank and Gaza are occupied by Israel. If Israel annexed the territories, the country would be ~50% Arab gentiles and it could no longer be democratic Jewish state.
As noted earlier, Republicans under 50 now have unfavorable views of Israel, but older Republicans still strongly support Israel. The main difference may be the younger people are more likely to be use the internet and have access to information that contradicts official narratives that go back many decades.
So much for the theory that Jews control the Media.

According the Pew poll, 27% of Jewish respondents have an unfavorable opinion of Israel. For young people the figure is likely to be even higher, and many critics of Israeli policies are Jewish. What happens as Israel loses Jewish support?
