A suspected “Muslim extremist” arrested at a “filthy” compound in New Mexico was living in the United States illegally for at least 20 years, reports Fox News.

One of five suspects arrested at the southwest complex where adults were teaching children how to conduct school shootings was taken into ICE custody this week; calming concerns after a local judge set bail for the potential extremists.

“Jany Leveille, 35, was detained by immigration officials Tuesday and soon must appear before a judge to resolve her immigration status, which could lead to her deportation, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials said in a statement,” writes Fox.

“Leveille has been unlawfully present in the U.S. for more than 20 years after overstaying the validity of her non-immigrant visitor visa,” ICE said.

The woman illegally moved to Brooklyn, New York from Haiti in 1998.
