If thatās what it takes to get the deals done faster, I dig it. The administration just needs to get money obligated in the general direction of domestic semiconductors. Iām not concerned with who gets what portion as long as they stamp silicon at an american address.
But so far, the company has not received any funds as it worked to meet the governmentās requirements ā and instead of creating the jobs promised under the policy, it has slashed its workforce by 15%.
My link.
Stamped and sent.
Cut and after.
Iād love to see Trump pass CHIPS2 and give them more money.
Iād love to see Intel do what theyāre supposed to do with my money they will be getting first.
They need the money first. It is a bribe to distort the market in favor of the United States. Itās a good policy.
Weāll see.
Better than pissing it away in Ukraine.
You see, thereās the rub. āProggie leftistsā think you can do both. There are no consequences to never-ending spending in their minds.
How frequently do they run? Fewer cars more frequently running is a feature of our light rail.
durring peak, about every 30 minutes, off peak, every hour or so, and they stop at 1AM. before the bars close⦠stupid
It should be 30 minutes all day.
Itās the challene of rail. If it doesnāt run frequently enough people donāt use it. But until people use it, the cars and empty and people say ācut back the trains!ā.
And of course they should run till the bars are closed!
they actually put up billboards advertising taking the train into charlotte to party from the park n rides at the bypasses. then stop the trains before the bars close⦠not to mention, PARK AND RIDE? What do you do when you get back to your car? They have a spur to the college⦠how do they get back to the dorms?
I worry less about the kids. The current college generation in my experience really take drinking and driving seriously and Uber is a regular part of their lives and plans.
Re: the trains, yeah, itās dumb. For me, as long as they run to 10 thatās fine, but Iām oldā¦
NJ transit is equally infuriating. On the weekends getting out of the city, trains are cut to 1 every hour after about 8. Meaning if you want to go to a concert or see a show, taking the train could mean an extra hour commute home, which results in us driving half the time. Shouldnāt be that way. Mass transit should be a no brainer. Cheap and abundant. Even if it runs at a deficit. Thatās what gets cars off the road, lessens drunk driving, makes life better.
A good example of irreconcilable differences.
or a good example of government investment in the betterment of the country.
This is exactly the push and pull between āconservatismā and āliberalismā.
You being able to get drunk and āsee a showā does not make the US a better country.
local and state government investing in it? Fine. No reason for federal tax money for it
If you canāt follow the contours of the conversation you should not chime in.
