New Fed Chair, Kevin Warsh

I don’t expect to get the appointments I would want from this administration. Elections have consequences. Having said that, Kevin Warsh is certainly among the best options I expected from Trump. He’s an experienced Fed board member with a track record that speaks to stability and he seems to highly value Fed independence. A damn good choice all things considered.

The next interesting question will be whether Powell sticks around on the board after Warsh’s appointment.

Kevin Warsh

I dont know him.

I know that an Atlantic and NYTimes writer who calls everyone a fascist
a racist etc. does not like him and that is a good sign.

When a total ■■■■■■■ like Matt O’Brien dislikes him. That must be a good thing.

Warshin’ the money, eh?

I dont see the journalist calling him a fascist or racist in what you posted.

If you read what he wrote, he said The Times and The Atlantic had said those things. The use of ‘when even so and so says something you know it’s bad’ and then posts what they said, that is speaking about that person, and that person only, not the other two examples listed.

That is why it is not in his example.

Gee, I guess by that we’d have to assume that the term “everyone”
was a figure of speech,
(In school, some of learned about those.)

Well perhaps the part you’ll like best is that he’s not an economist by education  His terminal degree is in law and his undergrad degree was sort of econ-adjacent.

…of course Tillis is vowing to block the nomination. As qualified as Warsh might be I think I’d lean towards agreeing with Tillis here.
