Shauni Kerkhoff was 5’7". Apparently the same is true for Cole.

It wasnt spin it was a mistake. Lets be real about this, why would tapper say this on purpose. He knows it will be disproved immediately and excoriated on social media - which is what happened.

There is one in the US that right now is thinking the suspect is white.
Clearly CNN writers assumed that Cole is white before they saw the photo. Tapper was just reading the script.
This not the first time CNN has misled their viewers push a white-men-are-evil narrative. Mainstream US media famously repeated the narrative that Kyle Rittenhouse was a racist white nationalist who killed peaceful BLM protestors. Foreign media assumed that the “BLM protestors” must be black, when the reality is that they were all white convicted felons who who attacked Rittenhouse after he interfered with their arson attempts.
