New Bipartisan immigration bill

Never has been either, more of an opportunist. He saw a large group of the electorate that was, well, pissed at the modern Republican party. He was able to tap into that anger and capitalize on it.

Well that means I am completely safe, my family has traced our ancestry for both my maternal and paternal sides back to pre-Revolution, fun fact, my paternal ancestors were at Valley Forge.

Yes, well, that law expired a very long time ago.

The point I am making here is that Americans have perceived
excessive immigration as aproblem almost since Day 1
and almost since Day 1 we, including the founders, haver responded in a manner similar to what we are doing now.

That and expanding the frontiers… 51st state? Homestead Alberta Baby! Time to civilize those Canadian savages!

Does Greenland have gold?

We’re going the wrong way, weather is better in Brazil

I’m not sure what the point of your post is.
My point is that either side can wrap itself in the American flag
and any suggestion that the founders had an open door policy or opposed summary deportation is demonstrably wrong.

and my point is that Manifest Destiny was the result of uncontrolled immigration. We needed space for all those immigrants. Gaining that space is what allowed it to continue. We can’t really get more space now and allowing the uncontrolled invasion of illegal aliens to continue will lead to internal problems since there is no external vent. If we are to avoid that, we must get it controlled, and we must deport the excess. Those who arrived in the last 4 years are mostly excess.

It’s never been how many. Always which ones.

Hmm, well Isuppose.
There certainly does not seem to be an objection to well-established nurses and teachers and engineers and doctors coming coming here.

Nor englishmen or Canadians. Norwegians. Swedes.

Well, that’s not entirely true.

and now its about how many. Thats all its about

No, it’s not. You have clearly stated “aLl Of tHem!” over and over.

Do you now care of they are doctors, nurses, etc?

when did I ever say I did? All of them are illegal aliens, every single one. Either deport them all, or come to some sort of compromise in the Congress and pass a bill.

In every post you’ve made on the topic, including this one.

10 years, are we willing to offer citizenship to nurses, doctors, engineers and teachers then?

no, I have never said any such thing about excepting anyone. go lie about what someone else said or post it.

It’s a question. See the ?

seemed to be more of a rhetorical insinuation. In fact, thats exactly what I believe it was.

if it was a question. No exceptions, either deport them all or pass a law.

I don’t insinuate.

See @Gaius?

What would that law look like?

The illegal nurses, doctors, engineers and teachers can stay, everybody else is deported?

then why did you ask me and not him?
