New bipartisan bill would require labeling of AI-generated videos and audio

Not that audio.

why censor it at all. just leave it be.

Allan

How ia labeling censorship?

anything that modifies is censorship to me.

for instance, warning labels on records.

Allan

Content warnings about whether something is appropriate, offensive or mature is a matter of opinion. Disclosing how something was made is factual, not opinion based. It doesn’t modify or pass judgement on the content.

Well, there you have it.

Seems obvious it would ban AI assisted content that isn’t labeled. Which of course opens the door to banning speech that isn’t AI by simply asserting it is. If you can’t tell the difference between AI created and human speech, how do you prove something that is labeled as AI created, actually was?

what do you mean you are innocent? we have a video of you killing that person…

Could lead to video and photographic evidence being deemed no longer credible evidence. Leaving us with eyewitness testimony, notoriously unreliable and forensics which is also notoriously unreliable.

no credible evidence

leads to vigilante justice for everyone

Wanna know why politicians want to start controlling AI?
