Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi seemingly swiped at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in a new interview published this week; saying the new crop of Democrats need to get off social media and start passing meaningful legislation.

“While there are people who have a large number of Twitter followers, what’s important is that we have large numbers of votes on the floor of the House,” Pelosi told USA Today.

“As I say to my own district, ‘You go out and elect 218 people, just like San Francisco, then we can talk,’” she added.

Pelosi has struggled to control her liberal colleagues since taking control last January; referring to Ocasio-Cortez’ ‘Green New Deal’ as the ‘Green Dream.’

“The green dream, or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is, but they’re for it, right?” said the Speaker earlier this year.
