Whatever was said in this particular instance, its pretty obvious from doing a google search that it is common for some in the media to connect the “enemy of the people” speech with the Maryland shooting.

Obviously, they don’t see a similar connection to targeting politicians to political violence. Its a sort of we can attack you verbally but it is inciting violence for you to attack us stance.
Trump never called for violence against the media and particularly condemned the non related Maryland shootings. There is obviously a difference between criticizing the actions of some journalists and calling down violence.
I believe he is the enemy of honesty and basic human decency. It’s clear tens of millions of conservatives Americans could not care less about those things however.

I think he lies…a lot and often over trivial matters. I also think much of the media is biased and tends to rumor mongering…aka fake news.
