Missouri attacks the democratic base

Missouri is suing to not have invaders counted in their census. How dare they! Claiming that Missourians are elected by and represent U.S. citizens. Not foreign nationals? Outrageous!

File this under the duh category. Will more states demonstrate a little common sense and follow? We shall see.

Illegals should not be counted in any census.

None.

That is a lot of the reason dems are fighting deportations.

Get them out and they will lose a lot of House Representatives!

Plus there is the matter of illegal voting that everyone knows that there is some of it going on.

No one knows how many is all.

Estimates are a swing of 2 - 5 seats. Which isn’t insignificant but I wouldn’t categorize as “a lot”. Redistricting and updating maps has a way larger impact on representation numbers.

I estimate that we should not count foreign nationals as if they’re U.S. citizens. Cux they ain’t. Howboutchu?

Oh for sure! Their big talk about all of their fake compassion is a lie. It’s about power. Nothing more. There people are diabolical.

We aren’t counting anyone as a US citizen in the census. We just count people.

LoL. Why do you think Missouri is filing this lawsuit?

(it’s to break the Democratic hold in KC and STL)

Yes. We just count people. And that’s a really stupid thing to do. We count people in order to determine representation. I get it. Your party gets more power when foreign nationals are counted. So, yes you’re all in favor of counting “people.” The same reason your party will kick, scratch, punch and spit on federal agents to keep a foreign sex offender from being sent home. Numbers = power. And you couldn’t care less where those numbers come from. A Guatemalan and a Missourian are the same.

What does the Constitution say?

Amend the constitution. It says that “an accurate census of all people residing in the country must be undertaken every decade.” It doesn’t mention their citizenship status. Also I paraphrased that but that’s the gist of it.

A stowaway isn’t residing anywhere.

True. I’ll admit is complicated with illegals. But Altair seems to be against the counting of legally residing immigrants without citizenship as well. And that’s clearly not right.

I’m conflicted on that one. If they can’t vote, they don’t have representation anyway.

That’s true. But under the word of constitution they do still have to be counted. The constitution doesn’t really differ between persons and citizens all that much.

A law would easily define that without the need of an amendment.

Are you incapable of doing your own research.? I ain’t your personal Google.

Well, the Constitution says to count all “persons”. Real Americans know that illegals aren’t really people so it should be a no-brainer.

I think there’s a bit of both ingredients here. Current law says persons. I truly doubt that the law, when it was written, had in mind the flooding of illegals into the country.

If we’re going to keep illegals, that needs to be addressed by census law.

Until then …
