This will be a unique Christmas for me. A hip re replacement didn’t go as planned last Thursday (the old one was literally in there too good). So I guess I’m 8 weeks away from being able to put any weight on my right leg and a temporary fake hip to clean up an infection, there’s more to this but that’s the super abbreviated story.
Anyway here’s what’s happened in just a couple of days…my family and I who’ve spend too much time saying hi in the morning and good night in the evening and doing our own thing in our own rooms in between have been working together…not just on my issues but some real conversations….
I guess this is my clunky too much text way of saying hard times can be a benefit. Maybe in the spirit of Christmas I intend to make the best of a bad situation.

So sorry about your medical issues. A few years ago my husband’s hip replacement didn’t go as planned and he was non weight bearing for 6+ weeks.
I hope you make your way to hip health, post haste

I have arthritis in both knees and had to cut short christmas shopping today because I couldn’t put my weight on them.
It’s so disconcerting not being able to walk hope it gets better I’m not old but arthritis doesn’t seem to care about age.
