Media response to "Let's go Brandon!"

I actually have a question about that: did she really think that is what these reprobates were chanting, or was she covering for the reprobates?

I think could be either; either way it’s funny. Liberals would really be better off not being mad about it.

Except we keep getting told that it was actually an attempt at a MSM cover up.

I’d like to know the truth of the matter.

What MSM cover up?

Cover up may have been a bit of an overstatement.

But what I have seen here is that the reporter knew what they were chanting, and tried to reframe it.

For example:

Yeah, that could be. But, who cares.

Well…I do.

And before I default to the right wing version of things, I like to confirm it for myself.

I have found that in throw away matters such as LGB, memes, or straight out attacks that our friends on the right have been…ahem…less than honest.

You don’t care about the accuracy of reporting sports chants during a post event interview? I guess journalism is dead, just like people say.

Well…given that the whole thing has basically turned into right wing tribal lore, a handle on it’s origin will be useful.

It’s just something silly and inconsequential that’s worth a hearty chuckle.

Or it would be if people stopped taking themselves so seriously.

Team Obsfucation!:fist:

Yes…she was covering for Biden.

Honest question: how do you know?

It could be she was just trying to turn a profane chant into something more family-friendly for television.

I hope you do. The irony of that is delicious.

But I doubt that the LGBT+ folks will find it nearly so amusing.

It is … and one which perfectly fits the situation.

You are absolutely right. But libs are far too invested in being offended to ignore it.

Which is exactly what the NBC reporter should have done. Virtually nobody would have heard what the crowd was chanting had she not drawn attention to it with her naive and pathetic attempt to cover it up.

Apparently, libs care.

What possible difference does it make why she tried to cover up what they were saying or whether she understood what they were saying in the first place? What happened, happened and it was recorded for posterity regardless. It’s now a legendary political meme. Nothing anyone thinks, says or does will change that.
