Then we probably shouldn’t look to them for our guidance. Let’s look to law and justice and the rights of mankind. Religion wasn’t helping them there.

Not if they’re basing it on their fairy tale book. Which somehow let them know slavery was fine. Focus on the actual Constitution and not scary stories for children you can use to justify the worst things in life.

Are you kidding? Those were the men who wrote the Constitution. Do we not look for their guidance every time a law is enacted or justice served?

- some of the founders were christian, many were not. it was the reason for independence
- we wanted nothing to do with england and their state religion
