I havenât seen any evidence that would help, honestly.
Soap and water, wash your hands three times a day with hot water and good soap. Dry with a clean towel and maybe keep your nails clean. Proper hygiene is always a good idea.
Masks arenât going to be useful it doesnât appear to be primarily respiratory by spread. If youâre infected, stay inside and wear a mask. Keep your hands clean as well to prevent spread.
If folks do that, it should help quite a bit. Some novel antivirals are being investigated to see if they can dampen the effect of more severe infections. But OTC cold meds arenât going to be of much use other than symptomatic relief of cough, etc.
