the daughter, who was running with them bails and goes back to the safe house, presumably, to hook-up with the fat female spy master. the son knows nothing about the spying and is just left in the US.
And it ends there with the parents being dropped off by car in Moscow, alone with no one to meet them in the spring of 1987.
I did not read that past the first sentence, weasel.
And this excuses conservative groups who allowed her in later.
