He’s a Democrat and they lie during election years. Sadly,it will probably work. Dems vote how they are told to vote.
Exactly. Manchin didn’t vote with Rs much. Plus we don’t want Schumer as majority leader.
Manchins internal polling must be bad as he sounds desperate and it’s only June.

Senator Manchin should just come out of the closet already.
He should resign and go home. All he’s doing is proving he’ll do or say anything in desperation to save his seat.
Desperate is the word. Too late to claim he wants to vote with the R’s. He had every opportunity and did so rarely. Usually when the vote didn’t matter.

Senator Manchin is one of the three Democratic Senators that voted for Gorsuch for SCOTUS, and he is the only Democratic Senator that voted for Sessions as AG.
If I lived in WV, I would vote to reelect Manchin as Senator.
Oh he has voted with the GOP 2 or 3 times. Not good enough.
To be fair to Manchin, remember what happened to the last Dem who supported a GOP presidential candidate? Dem’s attacked the guy like a hive of killer bees and tried to run him out of politics. Manchin is trying to be a moderate Dem in a party that has no tolerance for moderates.

There may be a lot of truth in this but it still appears what he’s really doing is simply trying to BS his way into retaining his seat.
If he has any core beliefs they certainly are not shared by those he’s trying to court now.
