Do the taxpayers in Portland and these other cities not have the right to reside in a city that is in accordance with laws?
Why do some people dismiss the right of the law abiding, taxpaying citizens in these situations, and side with, or become concerned with the criminals.

Interesting times coming.

And Justice Amy Coney Barrett told Fox News’ Bret Baier three weeks ago that she and her colleagues “don’t wear red and blue, we all wear black because judges are nonpartisan … We’re all trying to get it right. We’re not playing for a team.”
I’ve been thinking about this whole “send in the military” thing. The power was delegated to address “emergency situations” of relatively short term when cops were overwhelmed.
Like all things centgov, now all situations are “emergency.” The temporary once again becomes extended. “Emergency” powers become routine. And much like Ronasteria, pols seek to extend if not make them permanent.
It is obvious power is very seductive. It’s easy. Doing it the right way is hard. It requires a lot of work.
Centgov has installed “federal resources” in every nook and cranny of this country. Therefore it will always have an excuse to “send in the troops!” to punish any political subdivision which dares to deviate from the DC idea of order.
Yes, from media accounts, Portland and other areas tend to want to do things differently. Can’t have that.
If we look back at history, that could never be allowed. Self-determination contradicts order. Central governments require compliance with cookie-cutter molds.
Collective v. Individual applies to cities and states as the view moves up. “Those people” must comply and conform to our ideas how they should live.
Interesting dilemma.
