H-1B is a wonderful program bringing the best and brightest from other countries to work in the United States.

musk himself is a great example.

now the anti-immgration MAGAs dont like the program.

i always love a good fight.

musk wants these people removed from the party.

they were useful fools to get trump elected.

There are some small number of racists in both the Democrat and Republican parties. I agree those racists are contemptible fools.

As to H-1B visas, if companies are unable to fill high tech positions from within the American workforce, then I have no problem with looking outside America to fill those positions.

We should remain focused on illegal immigration and not be distracted by these kinds of stories.

Look at X and see the post wars that Musk has been involved in since Christmas Day.

There were also some posts allegedly showing how Musk has used H1 visas to fill some pretty low level rolls. The posters were banned by X.

H1 visas imho are not an issue as long as they are used correctly (like anything else).

Oh i agree they are a handful but still pretty influential in maga circles. Steve Bannon particularly.

But it’s interesting how Musk is driving the political narrative for Trumps second term. Only time will tell if the co presidents voice remains louder post January.:wink:

There is no co president. Make no mistake, Trump is very much in charge. Musk will be allowed to stick around as long as he doesn’t forget that very important fact.

Lol which is why Trump felt it necessary to have his incoming press secrerary reinforce Trump is the leader of the Republican party and Trump himself has addressed the co president nickname.

The very fact he is addressing it tells me he is bothered by it.

Legal immigration means nothing unless immigration laws are enforced. Therefore, enforcement takes precedence over possible changes to immigration Laws.
Personally, yes, bring in the best and the brightest and those needed to fill gaps in the available worker force. Balance that with being certain that workers aren’t brought in en mass to undercut wages.

Couple of the bans are definitely not bots and some who have not been banned are alleging they have lost their verified status.

Like i said its interesting to read all the comments and watch this play out.

I am aware Trump has been pretty consistent in his support for H- visas and its just another flash in the pan story like many we discuss on here.
