Apparently the Governor of Blue MA finds it disturbing that ICE dared to conduct an operation in the wealthy, liberal playground without telling them in advance. Of course just how many times have leaks from local officials, in sanctuary states and cities, warned the illegal aliens that ICE was coming. The Governor can cry a river.
ICE says they did coordinate with local authorities. I’m thinking they had an agent go to the different municiple police departments as the ops were within a minute of going down.
The Department of Homeland Security, in a social media post sharing a Nantucket Current video of detainees being transported off Nantucket, issued a warning to other people in the country without the proper documentation.
“ICE is removing illegal aliens from ALL states, communities, and worksites across this country,” the department wrote. “If you are here illegally, use the CBP app to self-deport. If not, you will be arrested and deported without a chance of return.”
“It’s shameful to see immigrant Islanders targeted and terrorized in a dragnet,” he said. “If you enjoy Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, or Cape Cod, especially in the summer, please remember that it is immigrants who make your vacation possible.”
Who will make our beds? Who will clean our houses? Who will mow our lawns? Who will pick our cotton?
Martha’s Vineyard launched one of the most effective deportation operations I ever saw. They patted each migrant on the back who landed on their island, wished them well and had them back on a plane and off the island within 24 hours.
ICE and the DOJ are cracking down. Out in California the Federal Prosecutor is charging each illegal, in local custody that has been previously deported, with felony re-entry. That way instead of a detainer order, he is presenting the local authorities with federal arrest warrants. They can’t ignore a federal warrant like they do the detainers. Watch this tactic spread to the other sanctuary jurisdictions, with nothing they can do to stop it.
Maybe that could be the new deportation method. Give illegals a big buffet dinner. Take lots of pictures with them showing how much you care. Bring in the military to take them somewhere they will fit in better (like Venezuela or Mexico).
