I think the door is open now for Republicans to distance themselves from Trump.
I believe that the list of Republican Senators who will vote to convict will grow over the next few weeks.
IMHO Trump is losing his grip on the party. There will be a few Congressmen and Senators who are in states and districts where Trump’s base will help them get re-elected. But Trump’s base has been reduced.
There is no doubt about that fact.
Politics is about money. And the fact that a whole bunch of major corporations are turning away from the Republicans is going to hit like a bombshell.

And he looked at Mike Pence, and I hope Mike is going to do the right thing. I hope so. I hope so. Because if Mike Pence does the right thing, we win the election. All he has to do, all this is, this is from the number one, or certainly one of the top, Constitutional lawyers in our country. He has the absolute right to do it.
