As usual, certain members of the media have used their selective listening to create a false narrative that fits their agenda.
Once again, liberals are trying to silence conservatives.

Why mention this at all then ? Notwithstanding your qualifiers, you’re not so cleverly making the link, which you know people pick up on.
If you are talking about recent incidents, why not mention Trump’s rallying calls to his supporters against the media ? “The FAKE NEWS media is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!” Isn’t this a much more relevant trigger to quote, as the Capital Gazette incident was a direct attack on the media. Perhaps Ramos saw their journal as #fakenews ?

Sean, you did connect the shooting to the Democratic senator. Tell the truth, be factual, that would be refreshing. Her comments were absolutely wrong, hateful and nonconstructive. Hopefully she pays the political price for that, she doesn’t belong in office.
However, you are riding the same train here. Blaming her comments for this fool shooting up the newspaper, you should pay the price for that as well. Even if that means admitting the mistake and making adjustments in your reporting to end the negative discourse. If we are witnessing the end of our democracy, it begins with the end of authentic, open journalism. I will admit that politics are having their way on the both the left and the right.

After Navy, went to college on G.I. Bill. My sociology professor(just back from the peace corp. in India) was expounding a lot of nonsense that didn’t line up with the truth that I know as one of God’s true sons. As one of the older kids in my classes back then(early 1970’s) I always challenged my professors when I thought they were off base. I asked him what in the world he was talking about ? He said it is called the sociological perspective which says that people are neither good or bad, but that they become bad because of the disadvantages that they are born into and the evil that they are confronted with as they go through their life. In other words the evil people of the world would put aside their evil and shape up if we would just give them the things that they try to acquire through criminal means. Some socialists and communists evidently believe this. Others just want unrestrained power over other people.
It’s been said the greatest lie the devil ever convinced people of is that he doesn’t exist. Every time politicians and many preachers say, “well, you know, we’re all God’s children” they are furthering that lie. Yes, God created everything including Lucifer(the devil), and when He created him He gave him some powers of creation. He was created above all of the other angels, and was second to God only in greatness and power. But that wasn’t enough for him, he wanted to be greater that God, and so he fell from power and has been carrying on a spiritual warfare between his seed and God’s seed ever since.
Jesus said that God planted the children of the Kingdom of Heaven down here and His enemy, the devil, planted the children of the wicked one down here. (reference the gospel of Matthew chapter 13 verses 37 through 39), And just for clarification, both were planted among every nation, kindred(race), and tongue, and are intermingled even in same families.
That’s why the Lord said that any man who loves mother, or father, or son, or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
