Liberals now have a majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
There was ONE issue and ONE issue only, abortion.
Abortion won and as soon as an appropriate case arrives, the right to elective abortion will again be the law of the land in Wisconsin.
And for the record.
Each and every time the right to elective abortion has been put on the ballot, it has won.
Republicans would be extremely wise to abandon this losing issue that they are getting absolutely ■■■■■■■ crucified on.

Also, the new Supreme Court will likely undo Republican gerrymanders in the State Legislature and Congressional delegation, which will likely drastically reduce the Republican majorities in the legislature.
So yes, Republicans crucified themselves but good because of abortion.

Wonder when claims of fraud will start to circulate.
The Republican loser is refusing to concede and saying some bizarre things, so you’re slow.
And what the hell is going on in Tennessee? Since I’m a threat and can’t start threads, there’s one that needs a thread. TN GOP going full fascist.
It looks like the loser is taking his loss like a Republican.

Never because they were crushed.

10 point win. Maybe more before everything is certified.
After Roe, Wisconsin was left with 1849 abortion law, before women could even vote.

It’s a sad day to see people excited to be able to kill babies. Can’t think of anything much more sickening.

Whatever you or I or anybody else personally thinks does not really matter.
What matters is that COLLECTIVELY, Americans favor the right to abortion (at least as far as the viability point).
When abortion has been on the ballot, either directly or by proxy, the right to an abortion has prevailed, even in red states such as Kansas and Kentucky.
Abortion is a losing issue and if Republicans continue pushing it, they are going to go down in flames, just as Kelly went down in flames.
Ron Johnson won last year, partly by avoiding mentioning abortion and by keeping the election focused on his opponents gaffes and other issues unrelated to abortion.
Republicans can win in Wisconsin, but not if they lead with the loser issue of abortion.

With Dobbs, Wisconsin reverted to 1849 abortion law, before women could even vote.
First trimester abortion is women’s health care, and women’s private right to direct her own life.

If you were referencing assisted suicide, you’d be on point.
But it’s not a woman killing herself. It’s not “her body” that’s doing the dying.

Weird. A republic is the exact opposite of popular vote.
All men were endowed by their creator with three basic rights. What was the first one named again?

I value a woman and her life and choices over a 12 week fetus.
10 point win over the Republican says people agree.
No person, even if you want to call a fetus a person, should have the right to another person’s entire body. That’s sick.
Do you have the right to inhabit and take over another person’s entire body for your own sustenance? Of course you don’t.

I do value a fully formed woman over a weeks old fetus that is not viable on its own, yes.
12 week first trimester choice is my offering of middle ground. I’m ok with no abortion after that, barring catastrophic health issues for the mom.

Why are you “ok with that”? Her body, her choice right?
