I remember as a kid I had this friend who loved Star Wars but on all of his toys the “guns” were removed by his mom as she thought it was too violent…sad

The one time myself and my bro’s got our toy guns taken away was when we got Super Soakers for a summer and surprised attacked our dad who then got pissed grabbed our Soakers and snapped them on his knee…we learned a valuable lesson that day

Oh please…just because the guy has a problem with nerf guns doesn’t make him a child abuser anymore than you not giving your child a hot wheels car makes you one.

Stupid guy who deserved to be fired? Absolutely. Lacking common sense, and needing to be sacked? Totally.

To be fair, the Santa didn’t say the kid couldn’t get a Nerf gun, he said he couldn’t give him it but his Dad could. Still a little bit odd, but not the same thing.

I don’t think a 4 year old understands the difference.

This was Santa. It was supposed to be a magical moment in a time of innocence.

By the time he is 5 or 6 he probably won’t believe in Santa anymore and then the magic is gone forever.

The opportunity of “You’ll shoot your eye out, kid” was super missed here.

Wasted man. Totally wasted.

Yeah, I mean it’s wrapped and delivered for him to say that. But, I don’t really want to get into the kinds of people who actually get hired to be Santa Claus.

My bet is that this is probably a stupid directive from corporate lawyers to not allow Santa to bring nerf guns to kids.

If it isn’t that, and this Santa was acting on his own to not bring nerf guns… then it was also stupid.

Now I will sit back as this thread is used to foment a stupid culture war that is among one of the most meaningless things ever.

Host Ainsley Earhardt noted that the mall apologized and sent a Santa to the DeCarlo home with the Nerf gun the boy had asked for and that Hasbro, the company that owns the Nerf brand, mailed him some.
