For some reason, none of this has ever happened to me. I wonder if it’s because I don’t interfere with or “scuffle with po-leece.” Just comply and if you have a complaint, file it later. No scuffling required. That’s what body cams are for.
It goes both ways. I’m a strong believer in recording ALL encounters with law enforcement. Funny how a lot of cops don’t like that. Wonder why?
Such a good little subject.

I don’t think any changes need to be made to policing other than be allowed to make arrests for shoplifting (that 950 dollar thing is some areas is ridiculous).
If one doesn’t mouth off you will be treated ok.
One has a right to mouth off.
In their world, mouthing off gives the cop a right to assault you.
Contempt of Cop-death penalty.
What’s the penalty for a cop mouthing off to a citizen?
Does this mean we can’t be friends anymore? If I thought we couldn’t be friends, I don’t think I could bear it.

Hell it gives them the right to plug you with a magazine of 9mm.
Harder to beat people and not get in any trouble when they’re being recorded.
Ah yes because in a republic of free citizens it only makes sense that if you mouth off to a cop they have the right to empty a magazine into you.

Not sure where your domicile is but here in Palm Beach County every municipal, Sheriffs Deputy and FLHP LEO wears a body cam. I’d say that encounters ARE being recorded.
Police should not be able to respond over words regardless what words or language is used.
The problem is people keep pushing the limits for internet fame. And others want to go there to be part of the event because they think it is exciting. Politicians have been talking out of both sides of their mouth for far to long. They say they are for “Law and Order” and then defund the police, while hardworking citizens lose their businesses without any recourse.
So here is where I say something controversial. I would and do support armed snipers on roof tops during political protests and demonstrations. The scopes should be equipped with camera feeds where it records what the scope sees. The Watch Commander would have the feed on his display and have to give the “Authorized to Shoot” command.
As soon as and individual lights a molotov cocktail, that sniper will have it on his scope cam, and is subject to being shot by the command of the Watch Commander.
Try to break into a private business to loot, Subject to being shot by the command of the Watch Commander.
Attempt to hurt an officer by throwing rocks, subject to being shot by the command of the Watch Commander.
Once these types of shootings happen, people will learn very quickly to protest with their words and forget about destroying cities. If an innocent citizen gets shot accidently by being to close to the individual with the molotov cocktail, citizens will see what is happening and immediately clear the area when someone lights one.
If we as a society want to eliminate types of behavior, we have to make the consequence immediate and painful.
They wear them. Whether they are on when they don’t want them to be is the question
Try to get it. Unedited.

Yeah, well, it’s funny how body cam footage goes missing, or the sound cuts off mysteriously.

Thank goodness for cell phone cameras huh?
