Most cops are decent folk trying to make a living.
But the institution itself as it has evolved over the past 50 years is flawed and problematic. The entire idea of policing in modern America is broken.
It needs major reform.
They are civil servants, not Demi-Gods.
Thatâs a lot of steps for most scrutinized profession.
The judge doesnât need to order it.
And yet a court order is needed even though it belongs to the people
A court orderâŚ. Amazing
No itâs something you made up. Thatâs why you wrote âmay beâ
What is the reason why the police favor body cameras? Is it the reason you made up or is it listed in the pew survey from six years ago?
I will gladly apologize if you can back up your imagination.

ICAM! I back the blue and give them the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. For every bad cop there are thousands of good ones, and I really hate leftist attacks on law enforcement officers on the beat.
Wearing a body cam at all times is all the change needed. IMO

Really? Who else has to carry a camera with them on the job to film their every encounter? Who else it hated by liberals and the media? Who else is immediatly put on the news if they make a mistake or perceived mistake? Who else can be fired for doing nothing wrong (Darren Wilson).
Anyone come to mind?
They make mistakes constantly. The flood of information doesnât mean that everything is reported. Itâs not even close. The egregiousness of some of their âmistakesâ shows that
Soldiers around the world have been dealing with enhanced scrutiny since the first Hague Convention was signed. And look at the scrutiny pilots, whether civilian or military, have to live with.
Enhanced responsibilities and powers come with enhanced scrutiny. Thatâs the way it works.
Why doesnât the suspect, who is merely accused of a crime not convicted, not get that same benefit of the doubt?

I remember seeing where an acorn dropped on a police cruiser and the cops started scooting up the neighborhood. Cop was even screaming that he was âhitâ! It was an acorn, falling from a tree.
Itâs up to you who you give the benefit of the doubt to, I give it to the police officers until itâs proven they donât deserve it. I am not bashing law enforcement which seems to be required for Dem voters
these days. If the officer follows the letter of the law, does their job as they are trained and required to do I have no problem at all.

Bank tellers, among dozens of others.
Who gets to âforgetâ to turn them on or break them and get away with it?
Who violates rights with every contact?
Who gets privilege the minute they walk into a courtroom?
Donât worry, their day is coming.

While Iâm thinking about it, who else can order a grown man to âsitâ like a dog and pull on him if he refuses?
Who else can make up laws on the spot for officer safety?
Who else can disarm and seize an arm for âofficer safetyâ?

Then why was officer Byrd not held responsible for the death of Ashley Babbitt? She had no weapon of any kind and was threatening no one.
