First of all, the issue is the hard drive, not the laptop. The metadata on the drive make it clear that while some of the materials it contains originated with Hunter Biden, there is substantial evidence that Biden’s iCloud account was hacked and as a consequence the drive is a fake that included some real emails to make it look legitimate.
No complete forensic analysis has been released, but based on what is available the odds are quite high that the drive is not the smoking gun, bur rather a moderately competent forgery. I would urge caution until complete forensics are disclosed. The FBI assessment is likely to be vindicated based on what is known today.
The alleged fake emails are the same ones on bobulinski, Schwerin, Archer and Hunters devices. All the same server.

So this goes into that rapidly growing pile of breathless accusations against Joe Biden that on cursory examination appear to be utterly without evidentiary support.
This is a tiresome game; The Putin Republicans keep announcing gotchas when they won’t put in the work of actually checking whether their accusations are real.
